Profit Center Finance Controller
Location BEIJING
Position
Responsible for the financial management of PC in PPHV
Accountable for the accuracy, timeliness and correctness of the PC financial reporting
Responsibilities
l Enforcement of Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines
l Enforcement of Group, Country and BU specific directives and instructions
l Enforcement of company policies that are in compliance with local law and regulations
l Provide accurate and timely financial information related to the PC. Reviews and release the reports generated by SAS
l Performance analysis, review and proposal for actions to the PC management team
l Business planning in line with Group, Country, BU and PG strategies (budget, forecast, estimates, strategic planning). Maintain Budget Database.
l Assist PC management in all financial matters, actively participate to PC management team meetings ERP implementation at both PC and Company level
l Ensure corporate governance, compliance, assurance within the PC
l Manage internal control and pro actively initiate necessary improvement to the internal control process of the PC (with support from the internal control responsible)
l Overall risk management of the PC and risk review process for projects
l Control of money collection and initiated / monitor overdue reduction actions
l Cost analysis, drive for continuous cost reductions and improvements in productivity
l Assist profit center manager in capital investment/divestment evaluation, support for CIMT preparation and review CAPEX spending. Monitoring of large investments progress and costs
l Follow-up and implementation of agreed measures
l Design and maintain transparent costing model and appropriate cost rates. Release updated calculation rates and models after relevant approval (specific open item: propose concept for considering hedged copper costs in pre-calculations)
l Ensure correct calculation and payment of royalty fees. Ensure proper maintenance of CHTET database.
l Ownership SOX Template F (Revenues and Accounts Receivables PPHV)
l Ensure necessary accruals and provisions are calculated correctly and booked
l Ensures internal sales are properly booked
l Check and investigate loss order provision accounts
l Review cost centre reports before, during and after closing. Initiate reposting of costs if any
lwrong cost object/element booking noticed
l Cost centre control (for all PC directly related cost centers and non-G&A central functions such as
lSCM and Quality). After closing review with cost centre responsible to monitor progress against Budget/Forecast
l Review B/S, IS and cash flow statement monthly before early warning, briefly discuss with Company Controller
l Review and set final OR, OB margin based on figures provided by cost accountant. Review GM Analysis and perform additional inquiries, follow up on related actions. Review with Company Controller before release for ABACUS reporting
l Prepares monthly EWR and presents it to company controller before delivery to company.
l Monthly management reporting (e.g. BU review standard presentation, Key Data, etc.) review, distributionand if necessary presentation. Present and explain results and deviations to management
l Participate in business review meetings (internal / external)

l ERP implementation at PC level
l Responsible for timely and accurate budgeting and forecasting. Owner of the financial forecasting/budgeting tool
l Review monthly account analysis with relevant personnel for allocated accounts
l Specific warranty follows up with business, quarter review and assessment.
Interaction with others
l Internally, meet and liase with members of other departments or section within the company.
l Provide financial information, cooperate to prepare forecast / budget and investment planning with all departments.
l Cooperate with the Shared Service Department in preparation of financial reporting according to
lGroup, BU, PG, Country and local authorities’ requirement.
l Externally, work together with Supply / Sales department to evaluate, propose solutions and take part in contract negotiations with suppliers / customers if necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
l At least Bachelor Degree in business administration / finance / accounting.
l Solid accounting, controlling and USGAAP knowledge (costing, revenue recognition, risk mgmt, etc.)
l Professional experience in financial controlling and accounting management.
l Business minded and thorough understanding of the business model.
l Well developed analytical, communication skills. |
