Shenzhen REPORT TO: V.P. Finance MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - The setting up and maintenance of Financial Accounting and General Operational Work Instructions and Procedures for all entities in Hong Kong and China
- The maintenance of Chart of Accounts (in conjunction with Germany)
- The Performing of internal audit operational review activities for the above
- To carry out various ad hoc projects as assigned by management
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Prepare and Update schedules / Index of Financial Activities and General Operational Activities requiring Formalization of Work Instructions and Procedures, setting priority and execution plans under the direction of the V.P. Finance
- Carry out interviews, flow charting activities, identifying responsible person for such activities and obtaining acceptance/ approval from Senior Management
- Carry out appropriate training and refreshment activities to ensure full understanding and compliance
- Carry out scheduled Internal Audit Activities to ensure compliance
- To carry out various projects as assigned by management
- To ensure that all required activities are performed efficiently and in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Standards and Specific Company requirements
- To ensure high level of accuracy and data integrity for the Financial Records and Financial Statements, Reports etc.
- To ensure the observation of deadlines and requirements for projects
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Fully Qualified Accountants or Auditors (ACCA, HKICPA and equivalent)
- 6 to 8 years experience preferably in Auditing and manufacturing
- Hands-on experience of auditing, accounting and finance activities in China preferably gained by stationing in China
- Experience user of ERP systems and office software
- Good command of flow charting skill
- Good command of Hong Kong and PRC tax laws and requirements
- Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Able to read and write Chinese
- Able to station in Southern China during the working week
- High ethical standard
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team with colleague of various other departments and countries
