The Position

The Finance manager, reporting to regional finance controller, key customers including Regional Controller, Regional Department Heads, Owner/Operators. The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in finance and accounting, and have prior experience within a large international organization.

lPrincipal Accountabilities

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but not limited to:

Strategic Business Development

nAnalyzes and consults on the financial impact of key strategies on long-term income growth;

nParticipates in the development of long-term strategic plans;

nInfluences Regional management on the prioritization of strategies and tactics to balance the impact on income both short- and long-term;

nUnderstand and interprets business trends (economic, competitive, etc.)

Regional Profitability Growth

nCoordinates and preparation and presentation of region’s annual financial plan;

nInterprets trends and forecasts financial results of the Region;

nIdentifies gaps between forecasted results and targets, then makes recommendations to ensure annual Regional financial goal are achieved;

nConsults with Regional Management regarding the impact of business decision on short- and long-term profitability and makes recommendations that adds to shareholder value;

Coaching, Training and Development

nResponsible for training and consulting of Regional staff, Franchisee and Registered Applications as it pertains to key financial information, changes in Company Accounting policies and procedures and other pertinent data;

nProvide ongoing coaching, training and development of Regional accounting staff;

nProvides constructive feedback to Home Office, and Accounting Centers to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of accounting service;

nBuilds and maintains relationship with banks and CPA firms to support the ongoing success of the system;

Fiduciary Responsibility

nEnsures that financial practices are sound and in accordance with accounting rouls (GAAP, etc.) as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures;

nEstablishes and maintains internal control procedures to safeguard corporate assets;

lQualifications:

nFluent in Chinese and English

nBachelors degree (or international equivalent) required, MBA preferred

nWorking knowledge of tax and audit, including managing relationships with external professionals

nFinancial Planning & Analysis experience

nInternal controls and compliance experience

nProficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

nMinimum 5 years of financial and management experience

nU.S. GAAP knowledge/experience preferred
