The Business Consultant will implement financial application software package, Asset Arena Investment Accounting, for the investment accounting and valuation business of new clients or deploying new modules for our existing modules for our existing clients. The business consultant will work as the specialist in terms of the following responsibilities:
· Face to face analyze business requirement with client, provide best practice and advise the customers during business requirements phases
· Be in charge of the analysis and the modeling of the target solution to perform system design based on the analysis of business requirement
· Delivery business analysis and system design document and provide explanation to product Manager and system developers
· Key user with the development teams, in charge of the writing of the analysis document and the support for new development
· Key user with clients, in charge of the deployment of the software, the workload of the testing before delivery, the on-the-fly training of users and the support of functional tests.
· As an onsite-consultant, also in charge of the second level support of the production Share knowledge and experience through the whole product management group
· Development coding for customization
· Support system testing, bug analysis and solution providing |
Knowledge/Experience:

Basic Experience Required:
· Knowledge of all types of financial instruments (equities, fixed incomes, ABS, MBS,…) including derivatives (i.e. Futures, Options, SWAPS, OTC and Exchange Traded). This would ideally have been gained in a back office environment or a solution vendor.
· Knowledge of the Asset Management work process especially the valuation and accounting process would be instrumental. Again we would prefer this knowledge to have been gained in an operations role in an asset management company or at another software vendor.
· Knowledge of the accounting principles, in-depth understanding of the CAS is essential, knowledge of IAS would be an advantage.
· On a functional point of view, the candidate must demonstrate strong basis in term of accounting, position keeping and valuation of financial instruments (3-5 years of experience).
Related Experience Required:
· BA, System Development, post-sales support or Project management experience in a relevant organization
· Operation experience of domestic or international investment accounting system |

Essential Skills Required:
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of clients and people.
· The candidate should be fluent in English, both written and verbal English, and should be able to work in an English environment
· Although not an in-depth technical role, some conceptual understanding of IT systems and related technology would be preferable. This covers database/SQL knowledge, Unix/Linux knowledge, some basic programming skills.
· On a technical point of view, the candidate should have an experience of a 4GL programming language, should have strong SQL knowledge and demonstrate notion of UNIX.
Desirable Skills Required;
· Skills / basis within the accounting of mutual funds or insurance portfolios will be considered as a key advantage
· The knowledge of French is considered as a key advantage |
Qualifications:

· Masters degree in Finance, Investment, Accounting or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with five years relevant work experience.
· CFA is ideal.
· A minimum of 3 years (if Masters Degree in Finance/Investment/Accounting) business experience in a financial institution, management consultancy or relevant software/systems house.
· Have developed a double competence, functional and technical.
