Specifically, the Tax Analyst will: - Assist to manage the day to day income tax compliance including tax return filing, external and internal reporting for all legal entities in China. - Work with Accounting on managing income tax accounts and related reconciliations on day to day basis to - ensure accuracy of tax returns and financial book. - Guide and monitor tax compliance for IBM branch offices across China. - Support China Direct Tax manager to monitor the execution of direct tax end to end processes. - Support direct tax SOX testing for all China legal entities and compliance testing for branch offices. - Assist in dealing with Tax authorities’ queries as well as assessments and tax audits in direct tax area. - Provide practical advice to the business, supporting functions on financial and tax operational issues. - Track China Income tax legislation changes and communicate the changes with upstream functions to ensure accurate and timely update of system, processes and compliance. - Help China Direct Tax manager in managing tax incentives and ensure fulfillment of incentive conditions. Required Skills: - A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in tax environment, including substantial experience with a Big Four Firm or reputable MNC;   - Thorough knowledge and experience in China tax law and practices; - Rich experience in tax compliance and tax accounting; - Experience in FAS109 and FIN48 is preferred; - Thorough knowledge of business controls in a tax environment; - Able to translate technical decisions /strategies into business terms and implications. - Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and take ownership of the projects. - Ability to drive to achieve desired results. - Good written and verbal English & Chinese communication skills. Candidate is expected to communicate, articulate and explain in English with other country teams. As such, fluency in English is essential.
