Finance Manager (Retail and Distribubtion) Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities The key objective of this role is to ensure optimal balance between growth, profitability and risk of the retail and distribution channels by working closely with business partners and also ensure that good internal control procedures are in place.
· Actively involve in developing quarterly business target setting, planning and forecasting cycles of the E-Business · Review and analyze P&L, comparing actuals vs forecast and explaining reasons for budget variances and trends · Monitor and analyze weekly business performance metrics to assist business owners to identify risks and opportunities in driving profitable growth and drive Outlook accuracy · Partner with business owners to plan and execute within the approved Operating Expense and headcount budget · Proactively challenge existing processes and to identify opportunities for business process improvement · Initiate and lead cost savings initiatives and prepare cost benefit analysis to support business decisions · Prepare executive review decks for presentation to senior member of the leadership team · Lead Internal Control review exercise including the development and completion of management action plan
Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification.
- At least 8 years working experience in financial management field in MNC environment
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Able to design and implement business process and control
- Results oriented, able to work independently and under fast moving environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and command skills
- Comfortable working with Senior Management
- Relevant industry experience preferred

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities This key business support position involves active engagement and partnering with the E-business leaders to drive a healthy, balanced and profitable business growth by providing financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analytical support. Successful candidate will have an opportunity to learn and understand the efficiency and effectiveness of Dell Direct model.

Responsibilities Forecasting (excluding OPEX)
- Assist management in developing accurate / substantiated forecasts.
- Work with Marketing/Sales Planning/Pricing/Product Group/Costing teams in comprehending product roadmap changes in forecast.
- Proficient in Forecasting tools/ models.
- Perform weekly outlook / update of the forecast. Highlights the significant variances and issues noted, proposal to overcome the gate stoppers and strategies to achieve the committed targets.
Business Analysis and Reporting
- Understand the market and assist the Business/Financial Management in identifying business opportunities and risks.
- Influence the Management in calling out an accurate weekly/ and quarterly forecasts.
- Work with Sales to rationalize the deal pipelines.
- Improve quality of financial reporting
- Weekly sales and operation meetings (analysis on segment / country performance, variance to actual download, margin analysis) - Monthly close (close commentaries on top line, margin performance and opex situation) - Performance benchmarking to Japan, Europe, WW
Operating Expenses (OPEX) Management
- Assist and challenge management / cost center owners in developing an accurate / substantiated OPEX budget
- Perform weekly actual tracking and variance analysis, highlight significant variances and issues noted with proposed actions / strategies to ensure that OPEX scales with the revenue growth
- Perform ad hoc expenditure analysis to identify control issues with recommended process improvement and controls.
- Monthly-end closings.
Qualifications: - University degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 7 years of related experience, preferably in a MNC environment with 3 years in managerial capacity

POSITION SUMMARY Leads a team to support the sales activities for the sales business in China. Has overall responsibility for striking the right balance between growth and profitability for the business, and provide predictability and visibility in the business's financial performance. In addition to that, the manager is responsible for actively engaging with other functional team such as marketing, IT and Sales Ops for sales tools and processes enhancement. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Execute special pricing strategy and policies for the sales business
Provide inputs on establishing discount cap/margin floor targets for RR and bids by LOB/family, based on quarterly financial goals and interlocks with sales, marketing and finance
Propose changes in discount/margin matrix based on in-depth analysis on demand/margin attainment and competitive environment (win/loss, etc)
Lead the LMR review with Segment GM and sales directors.
Improve weekly download outlook accuracy. Develop analysis tools and standardize special pricing dashboard.
Deploy and develop new tools and processes to ensure compliance (SI/margin control), better decision-making (RAD linkage, solid recovery plan) and accountability (metrics review)
Ensure team members have clearly-defined goals and tasks that align with the strategic direction of the business Develop capabilities of the team and each member through training, coaching and feedback
Qualifications: Bachelor degree/equivalent; MBA preferred
A minimum of 6 years of work experience in a related function (finance or marketing) People management experience, including recruiting and developing staff, performance issue resolution and performance review.
