POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title : Senior Manager, Finance

Market/Department : China / TV Finance

Organization :

Office Location : Beijing, China

Reports to : Vice President, Managing Director (Supervisor’s title) XXX TV, China

1. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Key member of China TV team with considerable commercial, operational and financial input

· Business partner to the MD, working closely with Sales, Creative and Marketing teams to define and drive commercial strategies to maximise long term revenue and op inc growth for the China TV business

· Bottom line focus to enable the timely delivery of robust management information to BVITV, WDTVI, producer groups and other XXX Corporate groups

o Business support analysis for BVITV/WDTVI (eg ad sales / deal valuations, co-production opportunities, formulation /tracking of KPIs, sales analysis, profitability, cost effectiveness, cashflow management, optimisation of resources - people, product, systems).

o Corporate business reporting (eg Lead monthly actuals reporting, 5 Year Strategic Plan, Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts etc).

o Producer group support (eg project TV values for TV series and volume/capacity analysis).

· Maintaining functional excellence (eg internal controls, US GAAP compliance, liaison with Controllership groups).

· Liaise with Regional Finance teams in Hong Kong and Burbank, lead in compiling business reporting required for the

· Assisting MD with a multitude of ad hoc issues from a wide variety of sources.

2. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Key relationships

- MD China

- local and regional Finance, Sales, Creative and Marketing teams

- Regional management

- Corporate and Finance groups in the US

3. REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

(i) Education & Training

· Graduate from renowned University

· Must have PRC or US CPA, with in depth knowledge of local and US GAAP

(ii) Working Experience

· 10 years or more years of relevant experience, of which at least 4 years are spent in consulting or a management level position in a multi-national company in China

(iii) Personal Attributes

· First class track record in operational and commercially focused finance roles within mulit-national companies in China

· Strategic thinker and strong commercial challenger

· Intelligent, structured and analytical in approach and strong leadership skills

· Results oriented

· A change agent who is not afraid to challenge status quo, or to speak up on difficult business issues where necessary

· Assertive, self starter and team player

(iv) Other requisites, languages

· Excellent communicator (English and Mandarin) with good influencing skills. Able to communicate well with peers and senior executives locally and on a remote basis

· Strong presentation skills

· High level of proficiency in PC applications (excel, word, powerpoint, SAP) and analytical tools and format
