Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

A leading Shanghai-based F&B group with multiple brands and locations throughout the city is seeking a mature and experienced CFO to join us for expansion in China and across Asia.

Job Purpose:

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all corporate planning, budgets, targets and analysis. The CFO will play a critical role on the executive leadership team and will drive strategic initiatives across multiple restaurants, cities, and regions.

The key to success for the CFO is strong strategic and tactical thinking at the business level combined with a solid foundation in finance and accounting. The CFO must have the ability to balance finance needs with other company functions to optimize business opportunities and improve operating performance. Successful functioning of the CFO will require the ability to cooperate with major vendors, lenders and other institutions in China/Asia.

Successful functioning of the CFO will require the ability to cooperate with major vendors, lenders and other institutions in China/Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all planning (long term planning, annual budget, quarterly targets, forecast) processes across the company.

• Provide information and analysis that allows senior leadership to drive superior decision-making and the ability to achieve goals set for company growth, investment return, revenue, and efficiency.

• Provide analytical thought leadership and lead projects that will deliver key insights for making critical business decisions – deliver in time analysis and regular evaluation of business performance

• Partner with all Business Departments and Finance teams to streamline and manage processes and build out industry leading infrastructures

• Develop finance & business presentations such as: Investor presentations, Executive Staff presentations, and management team reviews by department

• Enhance the understanding at the corporate finance level of critical business unit performance drivers and maintain a good view of business unit strengths and weaknesses.

• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals

• Continually seek opportunities to drive productivity and operational efficiencies through the use of technology and business analysis

• May be responsible for management of the organization in the absence of the CEO or COO

Requirements:

The CFO must have solid organizational skills to manage staff and projects, and effectively integrate and balance the needs of other functional leadership. This includes the ability to build and develop people and teams, develop strategic plans from a company perspective, and define, organize, and implement complex projects involving people, money and technology.

• 8 - 10 years experience in finance with a bias towards quantitative analysis and Financial Planning & Analysis. BA in accounting. A CPA and/or M.B.A. in Finance or other relevant degree a plus

• Candidate should have managed a FP&A function, including budget and resource allocation processes, for a fast growing organization or a large, multi-national, public company background from an organization with a highly regarded finance team.

• Strong leadership and Project Management skills, an ability to excel in an ambiguous and diverse environment, and a collaborative style and approach.

• Superior business partnering skills

• Superb attention to detail but capable of elevating to high level depending on audience.

• Expertise in quantitative analysis and forecasting

• High degree of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and in the development of executive presentations.

• High energy and a desire to work in a deadline oriented, fast growth environment

• Familiarity dealing with Asian businesses is a must

• Extensive experience in China and in working with internationally accepted accounting guidelines is a must

• Speaks, reads and writes fluent Mandarin and English

• Utmost integrity and proven ethical standards is a must
