4. Overview

The role requires someone who is capable of quickly gaining an understanding of the business operations at a high level as well as the ability to work in a detailed, analytical and hands-on manner. The candidate will be required to prepare and build accurate and relevant business analysis to support business development projects, which will be profitable and sustainable for the company, to monitor and measure the performance of retail operations.

5. Role

· To develop Business Plans and memos (including business case models, scenario plans, sensitivity analysis, etc) in close collaboration with the Business Development department.

· To research and analyze business parameters, market studies, etc in order to better understand local market needs and requirements, to ensure reliable and accurate Business Plans

· Prepare and conduct investment projects/ presentations to the Leadership Team and/ or the Group Executive committee

· Collaborate and support Business Development in setting-up and maintaining internal system to allow for benchmarking, database, etc, in order to quickly respond to tenders.

· Interpret and analyze financial, statistical, operational and other business information, provide value added analysis in terms of sales, cost, budgets, policies, operations, etc. Identify trends and opportunities to improve project profitability and retail performance

· Ad-hoc projects and other tasks assigned by managers.

6. Qualifications & Experience

· Tertiary qualifications from a top tier university in finance or related discipline with excellent knowledge of accounting concepts. MBA is highly preferred.

· Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills

· Excellent MS Excel spreadsheet skills with solid experience in financial analysis, financial modeling and investment analysis

· Well versed in preparing quality presentations as well as confidence in presenting plans/ projects

· Fluent English is mandatory

· Prior experience in retail industry will be a plus

· Able to work under pressure and on a flexible schedule
